Hours of Operation 8:15 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Persinger County has a Press Duty Officer on hand who is responsible for monitoring media inquiries Monday through Friday, until 9:00 pm. This service is also available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm.
Access to Media Events Persinger County cordially invites all accredited journalists and technicians to attend open press events.
Alongside an official government photo identification (i.e., U.S. driver’s license or passport), individuals wishing to attend events will need to present one of the following forms of ID:
- A U.S. Government-issued photo media credential (e.g., White House, Department of Defense, Foreign Press Center, Congress)
- An official photo identification card issued by their respective news organization
- A letter from their employer on official letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist
Those without a hard pass who wish to attend a Persinger County Press Briefing or cover an open press event may come in and out through the Main Street lobby on regular work days, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. They'll be cleared through security at the Main Street lobby, where a Protective Service Officer will issue a day pass, valid for that day only. Holders of the day pass can access the second floor, which houses the Office of Press Relations, the Press Briefing Room, Correspondents’ Room and the Mezzanine balcony (east and west sections) without an escort. In case an event is organized in other parts of the county building, all media personnel will be escorted by Persinger County employees. Upon leaving, the day pass should be turned in.
Main Street lobby primarily serves as the meeting point for escorting attendees to events. Outside the 8:00 am – 4:00 pm official hours, the County Street lobby usually serves this function. Day pass holders cannot access the premises through the County Street entrance unless they've prearranged an escort with a County employee for an interview or event. The Office of Press Operations will post all camera setup times and pick-up times in an online Daily Public Schedule.
The Office of Press Operations may recommend that Persinger County Security issue a long-term "hard" building pass to journalists and media technicians who frequently require access to the County building.
Submit a request through the Media Inquiry Form if you wish to be considered for a hard pass. If approved, you will receive a confirmation along with additional relevant information.
